Sissinghurst is always worth a visit in the spring. The guide greeted us at the coach and handed out maps of the grounds; very handy for those who like to explore the grounds, varying distances too around the natural lakes.

Stepping off the coach, our adventure began with a short stroll along a bark‑chip pathway leading to the roadside crossing. Two friendly marshals in orange hi‑viz gear were waiting to guide us safely across— a sign of how well‑organised the whole visit would be.
