Allenby News October 2016
Welcome to the first edition of our new quarterly newsletter spotlighting just a few of the things we’re been doing over the last 3 months. I hope there’s something of interest for you.
Our customers continue to chose us because of our professionalism, speed of response and helpfulness – and I am particularly pleased to see that our values (Reliable, Presentable, Friendly) are words that are consistently used in our reviews. Thank you for choosing Allenby.
By the way, if you know of anyone who might need a high class coach service, please do pass on our details – we particularly value customer recommendations.
Very best wishes
John Dewberry
Our reviews
We are very proud of our reviews. Thank you to all those who have contributed. Here’s our latest ‘scores on the doors’:
So that’s 90 x 5 stars and 7x 4 stars! Here’s what Mrs Dowling had to say recently:
“I think the driver and service was excellent and made our WI trip to Brighton go very smoothly. I will definitely use Allenby again”

- North Downs Golf Club playing at Seaford Head Golf Club
- Croydon Harriers Athletics club had an excellent season with their junior teams
- Knights Garden Centre Garden Club‘s trip to Wisley Gardens

- Some excellent excursions arranged by The Godstone Gardening Club and Knole DFAS If you’re interested in hiring us to take your club on an excursion, please contact us (details below)
Our work with schools
In the last quarter we’ve supported Russell House School’s football match against Solefields School and hockey match against Sutton Valence School.
We were also there to witness Sevenoaks School’s excellent achievement by the Under 18 Girl’s Hockey team to reach the regional finals and the Under 13’s football winning their match against Bournemouth Collegiate School in round 2 of the ISFA cup. We also saw Sevenoaks School’s cross country runners who progressed to the next round of the School’s Cup.
We’ve also taken Sevenoaks School’s drama department on a trip to see ‘Things I know to be true’, their Combined Cadet Force on a visit to The Royal Navy Dockyards in Portsmouth and their Geography department on a field study trip to Slapton Ley.
Finally, we took Woldingham School on a theatre trip to the Young Vic and on a pre-trip skiing training session at Sandown dry slope.
Behind the scenes
We are delighted to welcome our new driver, Bernard Reynolds, who joined Allenby on the 3rd October.
Through his previous roles, Bernard has many years’ experience in customer care, and has already fitted into our small team of dedicated drivers perfectly.
Our various sports teams and clubs can look forward to Bernard passing on encouragement from the side lines. He’s a keen supporter of Tonbridge Angels on his Saturdays off!
