A word of thanks to the firm that deal with the transport for the girls. The journey last night took over 3.5 hours to complete, but it was re-assuring to know that the girls were in a safe vehicle, in good company and capable of doing some work whilst they queued in the traffic jam. The company providing the service certainly pulled out the stops and for that I am really grateful. My thanks to them.

Dear London 2012 suppliers,

After just over 3 years for working at LOCOG, Tom and I are heading back to TfL to London Buses. The rest of the Bus Operations team has left, either back to TfL or on to new things so we’re turning off the lights in Bus Services on our way out.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for doing such a great job this summer. It was more successful than any of us could have hoped for and a real testament to the quality of our suppliers and the hard work everyone has done over the years. It certainly hasn’t been an easy project to work on, with considerable and numerous changes to the requirements and many long hours at work. The stressful times and long hours before and during the Games were certainly made better by having a good relationship with our suppliers.

I am just writing to thank you for a pleasant journey to Arras thanks to your coach company. As far as I know Newstead Wood School hadn’t used your services before and I am happy to report that I would not hesitate to recommend you to my colleagues, especially, if – like me- they require a smaller coach. Barry was a particularly pleasant and reliable driver. He arrived well before the agreed time both on the outward and return journeys, was very helpful with the luggage and friendly and accommodating to both staff and students. It has been a pleasure working with you and -unless the trip does not go ahead next year, I will book another coach next year.
